Urbanfresh, Malaysia’s newest major retailer, will be opening the doors of its very first outlet at Setia City Mall. As an invigorating new face in the supermarket industry, Urbanfresh will offer a new shopping experience for the residents of Setia Alam and Shah Alam to discover. The outlet will be the first of a chain of high quality supermarkets that will cater to the needs of the modern family.
Urbanfresh will be conveniently located on the Lower Ground floor, adjacent to a major car park entry point and within close proximity to an easy to use drop off/pick up point. The store will occupy a space of over 27,000 square feet (2,500 square metres) and will carry a complete line of fresh produce and an extensive range of premium groceries and general merchandise.
The people behind Urbanfresh are the same people that created the well respected Mercato brand of supermarkets that can be found around Kuala Lumpur. They bring this extensive knowledge and experience to their new venture and will deliver an exceptional quality supermarket experience for all to discover.
Setia City Mall is being developed by a joint venture between S P Setia and the Asian Retail Investment Fund, a fund managed by the investment arm of international property developer Lend Lease.
Setia City Mall Development Director, Robert Spinks, said: ‘We are thrilled to offer Setia City Mall customers this new and exciting supermarket concept. The experience of the team behind Urbanfresh is exceptional, and the quality products, vibrant store design and convenience they offer will surely please all who visit it.’
Mr. Lee Fook Kiong, General Manager, Urbanfresh, said: ‘We are proud to be associated with Setia City Mall and it is an honour to be given the opportunity to launch our maiden outlet in such a fine shopping destination. The design and retail mix of the mall will certainly make it an exceptional place for family outings and we are confident that the residents of Setia Alam, Shah Alam and the greater Klang Valley will be thrilled by what it has to offer.’
Urbanfresh join Parkson, Golden Screen Cinemas, Harvey Norman, Courts and Wangsa Bowl as the new mall’s key attractions, with only the gym still to be announced in the near future. These major retailers will be complimented by over 200 local and international stores, a number of large format retailers and a public park. The new mall will also offer efficient access to over 2,500 car parks and will be easily connected to nearby roads, towns and major highways.
The mall will open in mid 2012.
